LETTER: Elias Jones, Gorswen, to [?] stating that he will forward the account of the works for 1810 and 1811 and the vouchers for money paid out of the rents for 1811. He gives details of embanking and a changeover from pastoral to arable farming on the lands of Sir. W.W. Wynn and Sir P.D. Burrel, adjoining Lord Newborough’s lands. He says Mr. Brown would be very pleased to see the substantial improvements made by his son on the Moorland at Dolgarog Meadows. Such improvements cannot be seen anywhere else in the County of Caernarfon. His son tilled and limed the land for wheat. His intention [Elias Jones] now is to improve the lands so as to be hay meadowland only as his son has more delight in rearing cattle and horses than agriculture.
