LETTER: Lady M. Newborough Sternberg, at Hotel Britanique, Rue Louis le Grand, Paris, to Messrs. Coutts & Co., Strand, London, accusing them of fraud and illegal acts of arbitration re her jointure, and giving allegations of various unauthorised actions in detail. She requests £25,000 for delivering up papers that would destroy their reputation if made public, and complains of ’those two horrid man [sic.]’, Coutts Trotter and Mr. Atkinson. She suspects they have also defrauded her eldest son until he came of age. She has placed matters in the hands of Mr. Mills, an English lawyer in Paris. [N.L.W. Glynllivon 3437.]
