Estate Office Files (Mainly 1926-1945) With Index Numbers The original filing system has been reconstituted. Most files were current for 12 months being superceded, where necessary, by the opening of a new file bearing the same index number. However, there are many exceptions. Here the files have been arranged in numerical (index number) order. Where more than one file exists with that number the entries have been placed in chronological order.
