ATTESTED COPY of Will of Catherine Vaughan of Chester, spinster, directing that she should be buried in the parish church of Llanelltid. Bequests include £800 and her silver salts to her nephew Griffith ap Howell Vaughan; various small sums of money to the Rev. Evan Herbert, the principal sum of £50 due from him on land, provided he pay £10 and the interest to her executor; to her servant Margaret Roberts, whose health has been impaired in C.V.’s service her bed and bedding, all C.V.’s clothes and an annuity of £8.£2.10s. to poor of pa.[rish] Llanelltid; names nephew Sir Robert Williams Vaughan, Bart., residuary legatee and executor.
