COPIES of Letters: 1) Richard Tracy to Mr. Humffreys (4 July 1727), re financial affairs of his wife and ’my sister Pughe’, and interest money due to Aunt Lymley amounting to £l14.12.8d. He requests permission to sell South Sea stock. Dr. Pughe’s debt to his wife of £50 and his rent have never been paid. He requests payment. 2) John Humffreys, Llavyllin, to Mr. Tracy (10 July 1727), re the disbursements made by the Trust of Dr. Pughe’s Will to answer some debts. His widow received the personal estate at Rug and agreed to answer some local debts with the neighbours. He had stopped selling stocks as the price was rising. They should be sold together to pay Mrs. Lymley’s principal and interest. He can pay no more to Mrs. Tracy; Mrs. Pughe must answer it. [N.L.W. Rug 980.]
