LETTER: William Fowler, deputy to Sir, Nicholas Arnolde, Harnaige Grange, [co. n.s.] to Sir Henrie Sydney, Kt., President of the Council in the Marches of Wales, to accompany an account of the fees taken for exercising the office of Prothonotary in the three shires of North Wales where these are in excess of the amounts fixed by ordinance. The then Lord President, Sir Nicholas Hare, Sir John Perkington, and others, had allowed these for every bail where previously 2/= was had, 6d. was had after the said ordinance, and so the fees had been augmented.
