Never commissioned as sailing vessel but completed in 1852 when steam engines and propeller were added. In 1876 she was stripped of her engines and converted to a training ship for the Merchantile Marine Service Association for the training of Officer cadets. She was the third such ship to bear the name H.M.S. Conway. Due to heavy air raids she was moved from her berth on the Mersey to a berth off Bangor Pier, Menai Straits, in May 1941. In April 1949 she was moved to an anchorage near Plas Newydd, further down the straits. April 14th 1953, commenced tow with 2 tugs to Birkenhead for refit. Ran aground close to Suspension bridge and became total loss, being broken up and later destroyed by fire.
