XQS/1654+1655/41

PETITION of Ellis Jones of Carnarvon [Caernarfon] and William James of the same. The petitioners became sureties for John Bright, late of Carnarvon [Caernarfon], who was to appear at the Quarter Sessions. J.B, having gone to Ireland, is unlikely to appear, and the sympathy of the Justices is requested for E.J. and W.J. who are "butt poore men". Endorsed (in another hand): NOTE: "Richard Lewis of Llanstymdwy [Llanystumdwy] Petty Constable there".

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
