LETTER: Peter McNeill, Poor House, Cambeltown, [Kintyre, co. Argyll] to Capt. Williams. He was pleased to learn from his letter of his safe arrival at Newport and hopes they have a speedy discharge. He discusses the contents of a letter which he sent to him to the care of ’Gething’, ship broker at Newport, and asks his opinion of his plan to have the vessel reclassed and a good sailing master put on board with Malcolm. The bills are all to hand. He trusts that he will forward the paper from the owners of the cargo as soon as possible so that they may send all to the insurance brokers in Glasgow. The paper is the one for their share of the damage at Dover. He asks what he thinks of sending the vessel on a trip to Bilboa in Spain with a good freight. He asks him to see Malcolm alright before he leaves. He has put everything lie has into the vessel and asks that Capt. Williams does his best for him.
