LETTER: Luke Roberts, Conway to Capt. Williams, apologising that he was not home to reply sooner. He is glad that he has come to terms about the sails - canvas is coming down now. There is time for him to have more shares. The keelson will be of hard wood. Payments not mentioned in the specifications will appear in the agreement, and will be as easy as possible, in small instalments as the work progresses. As regards the first remittance, he was paid £200 by Capt. Thomas when the vessel was in the same state as this one, but if Capt. Williams thinks this too much, he will leave it in his hands. He has not seen Capt. Owens, but expect him tomorrow. Capt. Edward intends taking 2 shares. He asks him to send the agreement that he may get the other owners to sign because they are expected very shortly.

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
