Notes regarding the complaint made by the Governor of the Gaol against Warder Thorpe, for insubordination and insolence. Case heard by the Visiting Justices: Rt. Hon. Lord Newborough, William Bulkeley Hughes, Esq., Charles Millar, Esq., J.D. Whitehaed, Esq. Include copy of Governor’s statement, Thorpe’s statement, statement by the Matron of the Prison, other prisoners and Warders. Magistrates see no cause for suspending Warder Thorpe and order that he resumes his duties immediately.
