LETTER: From: R.A. Poole, Clerk of the Peace, Caernarfon. To: Secretary of State, Home Department. In view of the accusations against W.H. George the governor, of misconduct, the magistrates have instructed Mr. Poole to request that an Inspector be sent down to investigate the matter. The turnkey has left, saying that George’s conduct makes it impossible for him to duo his duty. This Inspector should be sent before 6th April, when the Easter Sessions begin.
