COPY LETTER TO MR. TURNER from Mr. Hughes, clerk of the peace for Caernarfonshire. Mr. Hughes has received the plans and will send Mr. Turner a plan of the ground of the site of the present gaol as soon as possible. He says it is difficult to state the average number of prisoners in the gaol as Mr. Turner requests; a whole year can pass without a criminal in it. He advises Mr. Turner to get the advertisement inserted twice in each Chester newspaper. He would like Mr. Turner to state his price for coming to Caernarfon to look over the building.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
