QUARTER SESSIONS RECORDS: GAMEKEEPERS’ DEPUTATIONS

These gamekeepers’ deputations were registered under the Act of 9 Anne c. 27 (1710) which directed that a Lord of the Manor should appoint not more than one gamekeeper. They form part of the Enrolments, Registrations, Deposits and Returns section of the Quarter sessions records.
