LETTER: W. Williams, 8 Garnon St., Caernarfon to David Thomas, acknowledging his letter. His brother-in-law has joined a fine ship called Banockburn of Greenock as Chief Officer, and had sailed from Swansea on the 8th May for Cape Town, then to Australia and Portland Oregon. He had been at home only 8 or 9 days. Has had two Billiard Matches lately (as no doubt David will have read of in the Observer or C. & D. Herald). The Liberals had started victoriously but it was the Conservatives who had finally won the game. He writes of a scandal about Katie Roberts, who is to be married to Mr. Samuel Jones, Cae Hobson. His mother and sister sent David their regards.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
