LETTER: David Thomas, 20 Percy Circus, Holford Sq., London, to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Thomas, The Cafe, Castle Sq., Caernarfon acknowledging parcel in which the eggs had been broken. Asks for boiled beef instead of fowl, as it lasts longer. tile gets a loaf for 7d. from his land-lady. Working hard at school has already gone through 2 books on "Equity Common Law". He has seen Davies, Gwynedon at Dr. Parker’s Chapel. Pritchard is living near him. He saw him on exam day and told him he was sold on shipping and hoped he had failed. Writes about his mother’s journey to Liverpool. He has seen 2 or 3 fellows from C’fon, one was Kyffin who used to work with Morris & Davies, another was a brother of a fellow who came to play billiards at the Cafe, he used to play with David Pritchard from Bethesda. He is a draper and worked at one time with G.H. Owen. He seldom goes out as he is busy studying. Asks them not to send the Express as he gets it from Evan Hughes, but they can send another newspaper. He explains that Castle St. Baptist Chapel is off Oxford St. 1½ hours walk from his lodgings, where he had heard H. Price Hughes the previous Sunday.
