LETTER: Margaret Pritchard, Middle Granville, New York, to her Uncle and Aunt, informing them of the birth of a brother born Sunday, 2nd February. Have not yet decided what to call him, but her father offers Welsh names like Cadwgan, Rhys, Ifor, Morgan, etc. as there are so may Pritchard families living there with names like John, Robert, David, etc.. Catherine is home now, but her health has deteriorated since she was in Wales. Asks if it is possible to have the prescriptions for the lotion she had from Dr. Roberts whilst in Wales. Her father enjoys better health than he had for several winters. In a P.S. she writes that her father has decided on the name of Isaac for the baby after a friend of his from New York.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
