TOWN CLERK’S DEPARTMENT - CEMETERY RECORDS.
Bangor Burial Board was set up in 1859 and ran the Cemetery until Bangor Council took over by Act of Parliament on March 31, 1899. The books were thereafter kept by the Deputy Town Clerk and responsibility lay with the Cemetery Committee. A new Cemetery was opened in 1931 and used in conjunction with the old Cemetery at Glanadda.
