LETTER: Cledwyn Owen, solicitor, Pwllheli to Messrs. S. Andrews and Son, Cardiff. Replies to queries. He is quite convinced that there has been no interruption to the license of the Mitre Inn since 1896. The house has not been closed for any period during the last five years, and there has been no opposition to the granting of a license. The Mitre is one of the oldest houses in town and being on the Market Square should be the last to lose its license.

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
