LETTER: R. Williams of Llwynrhydol to Mr. John Griffith of Tryfan near Caernarfon. Requests him to send a case of the proceedings in the general election between Sir Watkin and Mr. Myddleton for Denbighshire some years ago. The late election is likely to be contested in the commons and is discussed all over the country. He thinks the election has caused immense ill feeling. The gentlemen in Lleyn [Llyn] are at odds. Talks wittily of Griffith’s coming marriage. Councillor Parry is in the county taking affadavits of bribery in the election. Discusses possibility of another election and its effect on the Lleyn [Llyn] freeholders.
