PRINTED MINUTES of a meeting in Caernarfon at the Guild Hall. A resolution was passed that a society should be constituted at Caernarfon for giving the poor a religious and moral education and that it should be called ’The Caernarfon Society for the Education of the Poor in the Principles of the Established Church’. Lists other resolutions re the establishment of day schools and instruction to be given there etc., endorsed with a letter of J. W. Trevor to O. A. Poole asking him to support the school and serve on the committee. He adds that there is a reluctance among the trades people of the town to support the school until they see how the gentlemen react to the proposals.
