X/POOLE/5648

COPY LETTER: Richard Garnons to the Earl of Uxbridge, Litchfield re the question of establishing a commercial school at Caernarfon. Gives a brief history of the scheme and how it originated. Discusses the defects in the regulations which were hastily drawn up by himself and Mr. Poole. Stresses the need in Caernarfon for a school of a commercial character - the Welsh public grammar schools are not suited to a commercial education - the other schools in the district are of too low a character.
