X/POOLE/5377

LETTER: R. A. Poole to William Lowe. Paget may not be present on election day. Discusses the problem of Lord William Paget not being personally present when he was elected Burgess of Caernarfon and therefore unable to take the oath. Sends a copy of the oath. Gives his opinion that Paget can be legally returned without taking the oath but he cannot sit in Parliament without taking it. They must try to get Lord William returned in spite of his absence.

Page Language
