X/POOLE/5087

DRAFT BILL of complaint to Great Sessions of Owen Lewis, an infant, by John Prytherch, gent., his next friend. Gives detail of the will of his father, Owen Lewis of Marrian in the parish of Llanddyfnan, co. Anglesey, yeoman, now deceased (1775), devising houses and lands called Tu Croes in the parish of Llanddyfnan to his son Owen Lewis and leaving him all the hay, corn, stock and farming implements on the premises. He appointed his other son John Owen, the defendant in this case, and Hugh Hughes of Glan y Gorse in the same parish as trustees for Owen Lewis. John Owen proved the will and took the profits of Tu Croes for his own use. He alleges that John Owen neglected the education of Owen Lewis. Asks the court for redress.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
