X/POOLE/5082

COPY CASE for the opinion of Mr. Ellis. James Bradley and John Thomas laid out a considerable sum in the erection of a storehouse on leasehold land. In 1785 J. Thomas died; the widow afterwards remarried Michael Thomas who became a tenant then, paying £5 as half the rent of the premises. About 6 years ago Michael Thomas was forced to leave the country for financial reasons. Bradley took possession of the storehouse and let it out at a profit. He refuses to account to the heirs of John Thomas for any part of the rent.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
