X/POOLE/5080

COPY CASE with the opinion of Mr. Richards. Gives details of lease of 1779. James Nantan to Jaeph Allanson, of a house in St. Clement’s churchyard, subject to certain conditions, forbidding assignment of the lease. Christina Allanson has now succeeded to the property. Her father was a silk mercer and had built up a trade of considerable reputation. She wishes to quit the premises now and go into a partnership with Messrs. Harris Evans and Boune and has contracted for a sale of the stock and effects and of her interest in the premises but Mr. Nantan has refused his consent to an assignment. They ask if the contract can be fulfilled in any way.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
