X/POOLE/4504

DRAFT BRIEF of the answer in the case Hugh Williams -v- Griffith, the tenant of Mr. Bodvill. The tenant’s rent was below the real value of the farm. He left the farm on the orders of Mr. Bodvill, leaving some ricks of corn and hay and some farming tools as a security that he would leave the farm in good repair, with good hedges and would clean the ditches. Mr. Bodvill, the landlord, gave orders to impound any horses and cattle on the farm, which was done. Recites the legal action taken since then against the alleged unlawful impounding of the stock.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
