PROBATE OF WILL of John Jones of Dol- y moch in parish of Festiniock [Ffestiniog], co. Merioneth [Meirionydd], gent. To his son John Jones devises houses and lands in the townships or hamlets of Crickieth [Cricieth] and Botewn, co. Caernarfon. Places a rent charge of £100 on the lands however to go to his daughter Jane Jones. To daughter Elizabeth Jones leaves £220 from a mortgage of the lands of his cousin William Roberts - leaves detailed instructions concerning the mortgage. To his daughter Elizabeth leaves the lands called Prissor. To son in law John Pugh and his wife of Bennardd leaves £20. To godson John Price of Derwen leaves £50. To cousin Humfrey Jones, Esq., his majesty’s receiver general of North Wales leaves 40/- for a ring, to brother Humfrey Jones of Trefan leaves 40/- for a ring, to nephew Evan Lloyd leaves £5. To kinswoman and servant Jane Roberts leaves 40/- and to servants Edward Garwen, William ap Evan and Ellin Humfrey 20/-; to servant Humfrey Francis leaves 40/-. Appoints Ellis Hughes and William Owen to be his executors.
