X/POOLE/2558

CORRESPONDENCE between O. A. Poole of Gorphwysfa and John Griffith of Llanfair, mainly social in content. Mr. Griffith sent Poole a gift of apples which are a rarity at that time of the year (April). Poole thanks him and remarks that he will now be able to serve Mr. Garnons and his family ’the rarities’ when they visit him next week. Mr. Griffith requests some cauliflowers and celery from Poole’s gardens. Poole is unable to oblige but his wife sends him a rare kind of pea which she had from a gentleman from Staffordshire. Some arrangements re business matters.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
