X/POOLE/1337

LETTER: Hugh Hughes of the Custom House, Dublin. Thanks Poole for trying to intercede with his landlord. Mr. Owen, however, thinks that land in Rhoscolyn is as valuable as it is in Pembrokeshire. He points out that the surrounding farms are rented at less than 5/- to the acre and this farm is of poorer quality. If Poole draws up a lease he requests that the lives in the lease be his own, his daughter’s and the Prince of Wales.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
