X/POOLE/1323

POEM to Hugh Owen, Esq. of Orielton, an infant about 6 weeks old, signed by Anna Maria B-d-d. of Hills Court and addressed to Lady Owen at Orielton, with a covering letter from Lady Owen of Orielton to Richard Poole (1785, 10 February). She requests that Poole will keep the verses private as "they were meant only for the eye of friendship not for public inspection". In a postscript she comments on a recent discussion she had with the Rev. Mr. Thomas on the violence of party in Anglesey. Her little son is in perfect health.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
