X/POOLE/1246

LETTER: Arthur Owen from Orielton to Richard Poole. He had a very bad passage. The ship’s sails were split and they hit very bad weather. He even had to work himself, though he would not have objected to that if the ship had been well equipped. He left her eventually at Fishguard where she had to get some new sails, and a new crew. The journey to Orlelton took 13 days in all. He gives instructions about the land Poole is selling for him.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
