X/POOLE/65B

LETTER: Lord Bulkeley from Stanhope Street, London, to Poole. He is pleased to welcome Mr. Jones to the corps. Mr. Edward Lloyd sent him a very civil letter refusing his offer on behalf of his brothers as it would interfere with their education for various professions. He comments on Lord Penrhyn’s attitude in refusing to give money for the purchase of corn for the county. Mr. Assheton Smith has not given anything either. Discusses the use of his influence on behalf of Capt. Crawley and Browning Edwards, and other matters.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
