X/POOLE/65A

LETTER: Lord Bulkeley from Stanhope Street, London, to A. O. Poole, Caernarfon. He regrets to hear of Mr. Jones of Cefuycoed’ s answer. He has heard nothing from Mr. Edward Lloyd but promises to write to Capt. Edwards instructing him to appoint Evan Pritchard at once. He has found an Act giving him authority to give a beating order, but instructs Poole to inform no one of this but Col. Edwards. He hopes that Ted Griffith and his party will be tricked into prosecuting himself or imprisoning his drummer "in which case they will get into a fine scrape". He sends Poole a warrant to use should such an eventuality arise. He gives Poole careful instructions for sealing the warrant.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
