PROBATE OF THE WILL (6 September 1918) of Laura Roberts of Brynrhyd, pa. Tydweiliog, farmer, spinster, bequeathing £50 and the chest of drawers in her bedroom to Ellen Williams, £50 to her cousin John Hughes, Wenallt, £50 to Eliza Thomas who was attending on her, £20 to William Williams who worked for her, £10 to William Jones, joiner, Edern village, and £10 to Jane Hughes, Brongors, Edern. She bequeaths the three oak chairs in the parlour to Mary Williams, Pwll Clai, Edern. All other property after the payment of debts and expenses, was to be divided between her nephews Thomas Hughes, Robert Hughes and the children of her nephew Griffith Hughes.
