LETTER: Robert Clarke, Bath, to Lieint. Davies, H.M. Ruby, off the Texel, Yarmouth. All the Sampsons are delighted that Mrs. Davis [sic] is so pleased with her situation. He discussed her financial arrangements and especially £400 in 4% stock, £500 dine under her uncle’s will, and £500 under that of her grandfather. Mr. Sampson has no money to pay it, and he owes £3677.13.6d. to the whole of the family, so that some security would be highly desirable. His wish is certainly to pay everyone.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
