LETTER: Dowell Jones, Joint Secretary, Bangor Diocesan Religious Education committee, 204 High St., Bangor, to [Rev. A. H. Grey-Edwards, Llanllechid]. He informs him that the committee has appointed a surveyor to inspect the condition of Non-Provided Schools. He also informs him that, contrary to the impression of Non-Provided Managers, the appointment of Head-Teacher and all members of staff (except Pupil Teachers) rests with the Managers; it is the responsibility of the L.E.A. to give its approval and not specifically to appoint staff. The L.E.A. can only withhold this approval on educational grounds.
