LETTER: Maurice Humphreys, London to his brother Thomas Humphreys, Edern in Llyne, thanking him for the suit of clothes. He declines the offer to return home. He has met an apothecary and has agreed to go to live with him for 12 gns.p.a. He has received 4 gns. of Wm. Prichard for these idle tunes. Recounts the hardships he has endured in London. Their cousin Evan Wms. is dead; he died in Bryn Griffith’s house the son of William Griffith of Brynodol. His [Evan Wms] [?watch] is in another man’s hands who refuses to return it even to E.W.’s mother. E.W. was not sick for long and one of his relations knew anything about it as he kept himself to himself. M.H. has failed to find Robert Roberts.Asks T.H. to pay Richard Ellis and hopes he won’t bother him again.
