LETTER: Thomas Humphreys, Edern to his brother William Humphreys at Mr. Henry Roberts saddler, near the Royal Oak, Wrexham. M.H. should ask Thos. Griffith for news of the neighbourhood. If W.H. goes to London he should pray to God for a safe journey. He should take care until he gets to the city and advises him to take work for it is better to earn a penny a day than to spend a shilling. Some lads will not accept work without `tip top’ wages. M.H. is sure to get a better place eventually.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
