LETTER: Maurice Humphrey Vaughan, London to his brother Mr. Thomas Humphreys at Edern in Lynne, expressing his desire to leave within a month. He hopes something better awaits him. He has been living in obscurity for so long and lacking acquaintances. He is in constant pain and if he does not improve will have to return. He asks his brother to keep an eye on his books and instruments and to direct his next letter to William Roberts Red Bull, --- Clarkenwell, London. There is much petitioning of the King and many think civil war will be the consequences of all the grievances.
