PROBATE OF THE WILL (14 Sept. 1822) of Mary Jones, Penybryn, pa. Edern, widow, bequeathlng toAnn Jones, dau. of Evan Jones of Caernarfon £50; to Ann Jones, dau. of Owen Jones of Liverpool £60; to the said Evan Jones £50; to the Treasurer of the British and Foreign Bible Society £30; Missionary Society £30; to Mr. Thomas Hughes, Pwllheli, surgeon, £40; for the relief of poor ministers (MC), bequeaths Cae’r Capel being part of Penybryn to Trustees of Edern Chapel MC; bequeaths the part of Penybryn now in the possession of Henry Williams to him and his heirs; bequeaths Penybryn to her nephew Evan Roberts and his heirs; bequeaths the residue of here estate Penybryn, Cil Llidiart, Pentre’r Gorse, Cerrig Llwydion, and all other messuages in pa. Edern to the said nephews Evan Roberts and Evan Roberts, brother of the late husband and their heirs 25 tenants in common not as joint tenants. Executor: nephew Evan Roberts.
