LETTER: R.E. Dudgeon, 82 Gloucester Place [Portman Square] to [Dr. Thomas] in which he states that in his opinion [Dr. Thomas’s] case is evidently right and he cannot understand the attitude of the Council. The best and only way to prove to the Council that he should be registered is to prove he was in practice before Oct. 1858 by sending certificates from his patients or from his colleagues showing that they knew him to be practising as a physician then. He advises him to do this right away for as long as he neglects to comply with any formality the Council will feel justified in opposing him and his rights.

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
