COPY LETTER: Henry Thomas, 10 White Friars, Chester, to Dr. Hawkins, London, in which Dr. Thomas expresses his surprise that they should write that the letter that was received from the Homoeopathic College of Pennsylvania gave no satisfactory account of his examination, and that he intends writing to them at once for an explanation. Mr. Thomas reminds the Branch Medical Council that they have had proof not admitting of any doubt that he had studied at the college, fulfilled all of the requirements of the same, was admitted to examination and only after passing the same in a creditable manner had the degree conferred upon him. He trusts they will do him the justice of placing his name on the Medical Register without further delay.

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
