LETTER: A.R. ?Shaw, Upper Clapton, to [Dr.] Thomas stating that the registrar had returned his diploma without any remarks. He had also called at the office and tendered two guineas and showing the envelope with M.D. at the end of his name. The clerk said he had no authority to register him and told him that a diploma from the same college had been refused and that if they refused one he supposed they would refuse all. He was advised to sit a legal qualification to avoid trouble. Consulted solicitor who advises getting a mandamus from the Queens Bench, compelling them to show cause why they refused to register. Concludes by stating he is very much worried and does not know what to do for the best.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
