COPY LETTER: Wm. E. Morris, Collector of Dues, Porthmadog to Ernest Crewdson, esq, 5 Norfolk St. Manchester returning his cheque which is unacceptable. He cannot consent to such a reduction beieg made. Mr. Roche’s solicitors were assured when they were pressed by Mr. Bromwich to give a consent to the underletting of a portion of the wharf that Mr. Roche would not be prejudiced by giving same. Since the Company does not act upon that assurance Mr. Roche will adhere to his strict right, and in future, all harbour dues must be paid before the vessels are cleared. Any other arangement must be made with Mr. Roche’s solicitors, Messrs. Breese, Jones and Casson.
