LETTER: Cunliff Beaumont at 43 Chancery Lane to J.H. Kenion, esq., They attended adjourned meeting at Messrs. Watson and Sons that morning and found that no arrangement could be come to with Mr. Stevens to grant fresh leases. An action of ejectment will probably be heard on Friday. Was suggested at meeting that each person should subscribe proportionately according to amount of ground rent paid by him to meet the action of ejectment. Calculates amount to be met, and advises him to join in arrangement. Request that telegraphs instructions in the morning. Outline the state of Howard’s affairs as they understand them, and send copy of letter from him. Do not expect him to take up the transfer of mortgage. If can get over present difficulty may be able to effect sale of property. Send also copy of further letter received from Howard.
