LETTER: D. Williams, Tanrallt, Port Dinorwic, to Messrs. Williams & Hughes, Caernarfon, acknowledging their letter. The rent he had was £20 and Mrs. Griffiths, late of Caernarfon, druggist, paid £25 as she thought it was worth double the rent. He had improved the house and would like to see better times before selling it. He suggests the recipient would like to see the house for himself. Mr. J. Thomas, Castle Ditch, Caernarfon, auctioneer, knows all about it. About 50% profit is added each year to the Insurance premium. Gives amounts of poor and special rates and ground rent. He is going to find out what a mortgage would cost him with the Mortgage Insurance Corporation, Fenwick Chambers, Fenwick Street, Liverpool. He had bought the property cheap at an auction for £51 and had carried out extensive repairs costing him £150.

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
