COFNODION Y BRODYR DAVIES, LLECHFASNACHWYR, PORTHMADOG

This collection contains some of the records of Davies Brothers Slate
Merchants of Porthmadog. The firm came into being on 1 January 1879, when
Jonathan Dames a slate merchant of Porthmedog transferred his business
and property to Davies Brothers. Consequently the earliest records detail
the business proceedings of Jonathan Davies.

Davies Brothers ordered slate from many quarries and this collection
includes some of the records of Diphwys Slate Quarry Company and Wrysgan
Slate Quarry.
