LETTER: A.J. Williams, 7, Salem Terrace, Pwllheli, to her brother. She had a splendid drive as far as Bryncroes and had breakfast and dinner at Gylliwig farm. Henry came to Liverpool after the marriage in a closed carriage, where she had bought gloves. She has heard that Solomon Andrew’s men who work on Gimblet are on strike. The Prior’s son is very ill. It seems that Jones, Penybont is an Assistant Traveller to Mr. Owen, Glasfryn. There is a sale at Ty Uchaf, Salem Terrace, as Mrs. Evans is going to live to London for the benefit of the children. Morris Roberts, N.Y. preached at Salem on Sunday and is going to settle at Pwllheli. John Williams, Dinorwic (lately of Bangor) has twin girls. John Williams is the one her brother met in America. Everyone is surprised that he is at the "silk & dress" dept. Sends her regards to all the family.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
