LETTER from J. H. Thompson to Mr. Peter Goodwin concerning Cae Coch pyrites mine. He makes reference that certain gentlemen from London have neglected to bring Action in the Court of Common Pleas and that the company will have to wait and see if they will do so in November, if they do not, then the company will be at liberty to cut as it pleases. He asks to be sent a sample of about 5 of 10 cwt. of pyrites from the mine as he wishes to have it tested for arsenic and explains that if this is the case then a different method of working will be necessary. He hopes that the mine will be able to produce 3 or 4 times more pyrites than the present works in London, if this is the case then it will be easy to set the gentlemen from London at rest.
